Middle School Teacher

/ 6-8 Math/Religion/Music, 8 Social Studies

I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County. After graduating from Concordia University in Irvine, CA, and completing student teaching, I took a call to Martin Luther School in Maspeth, Queens, New York. In the ten years living in New York, I primarily taught History to grades 10 and 11, but also had the opportunity to teach Math to grades 6-8 and Music to grades 6-12. In the last two years at Martin Luther, I also worked as the Assistant Director of Communications.

In 2017, God led us to California when I accepted a call to Concordia. Since then, I have had the privilege of teaching English, History, Math, and Music to various grades. During my college years, I learned how to play handbells, which has remained one of my favorite activities. While I believe God is present everywhere, I believe that small faith-based schools like Concordia hold a special place in education and family building.

I live in Ventura County with my husband, our two children, my parents, sister, 2 cats, and 1 dog. I also enjoy crochet, knitting, baking, and photography. One beloved family tradition is baking LOTS of Christmas cookies and decorating them with family.
