History of Our School
Concordia Christian Built Upon Faith
Concordia Christian School- Preschool and Elementary and Middle School here at Granada Hills is located in the greater San Fernando Valley. Concordia Schools were Lutheran schools originally working as independent educational ministries of local congregations, a tradition of Lutheran Churches dating back to 1847. The schools merged together in the summer of 2011 to form The Concordia Schools. Concordia-Granada Hills (Formerly, Our Savior’s) has been at the same location, faithfully serving families with students from preschool through 6th grade since 1954. Concordia Junior High School (Formerly Los Angeles Lutheran Jr/Sr High, now Middle School) joined the Preschool and Elementary in 2016 on the Granada Hills Campus. Concordia Christian continues to bring the highest quality Christian education to the families in our community at affordable prices.
We strive to provide a sound fundamental Christian educational approach, coupled with a Christ-centered faculty and staff. In the spirit of love and concern for our students, the school endeavors to assist the parents in nurturing their child’s development in these five areas of growth (1) Spiritual (2) Academic (3) Physical (4) Mental and (5) Social. The goal of Concordia Christian is to provide each student with a solid foundation for life so that he/she will learn to live joyfully in faith with love and concern for others.
