I began teaching in Lutheran schools in 1981. I taught 6th grade for 24 years and then 5th grade for four years. At my next school, I had the opportunity to teach mostly Language Arts and Math in 2nd through 8th grades. Each of these schools became a precious community and family that I cherished. I am grateful now to be a part of the Concordia Christian Family. It has been an amazing honor to serve the Lord in this way.
For the last eleven years, I have been working with dyslexic students using the Barton Reading and Spelling System. I have learned so much about the English language while watching these students work hard to become more successful in reading and spelling.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. My parents were both musicians so there was always music in our house. I have a brother and a sister as well as many dear friends who are a blessing in my life. I thank God every day for all He has done for me.
